Supply Chain & Logistics Disruptions Due to the Iran–Middle East Conflict
The ongoing escalation of the geopolitical situation involving Iran and the wider Middle East is significantly impacting global supply chains, shipping routes, and commodity markets, creating considerable uncertainty in logistics and raw material sourcing.
Shipping routes across the Persian Gulf—critical for energy products, petrochemicals, and key raw materials—are particularly affected. Several suppliers are facing production and dispatch disruptions, resulting in delays and temporary shortages of certain raw materials. At the same time, fluctuations in feedstock, energy, and logistics costs have led to sharp increases in raw material prices and extreme market volatility.
Freight markets have also been severely impacted, with shipping rates rising multiple times within a short period due to vessel rerouting, risk premiums, and limited carrier availability. War-risk insurance and emergency surcharges have further increased freight costs, while some shipping lines have placed vessels to the Middle East on hold or restricted bookings, creating uncertainty around vessel availability and transit schedules
Due to these combined factors—including raw material shortages, sharp price increases, and extreme freight volatility—the overall market environment is currently highly unstable.
In light of the above situation, we regret to inform you that we are temporarily holding the issuance of any new quotations until 15th March, and no new orders are being processed at the moment. This step has been taken to avoid mispricing and to ensure that we are able to provide accurate and sustainable commitments once market conditions stabilize. We sincerely request your understanding and patience during this period. We are closely monitoring the situation and will resume quotation and order processing as soon as there are greater clarity and stability in the market or by 15th March, whichever is earlier.
